The Girl They Call Jayneeeee!

   So, as some of you already know, Firefly is my favourite TV show ever! And my favourite character is Jayne Cobb! (Okay, okay, it's a tie between Jayne and Kaylee. Who can say no to Kaylee? :D)

   This is my second crocheting project I've completed, and (without considering it's a Jayne hat, on quality alone) it's much better than the first! Which I'm quite proud of since I did not use any pattern and just free handed it.

   I debated even making this hat, since Jayne's hat in the TV show is knit, not crocheted, and I already have one in the first place! Which, as you can probably tell, is a bit different in design than the one I made. Since I decided to try my hand at making one I decided to change it up a bit and make it fit my style a little bit more. It fits my head a lot better too, the one I bought is huge! I can only wear it slouchy or else it's like a sausage casing for my face.

   I also found that failed pom poms make great cat toys (or hats. ;P)

My First Crocheted Hat!

   I crocheted my first hat and I love it! My mom came up to WA from TX to visit me and she taught me to crochet while she was here, but I just finished my first project! I love it! I had some help of course. ;)

   It took me way too long but that's because I kept starting over unhappy with what I had. I'm definitely happy now though!

   I planned on keeping the entire hat green, but I ran out. I'm okay with that though, the black adds a nice touch I think!

   I know it's not perfect, but it's my first hat and I think I did a good job considering that! What do you think? :)
